caddi.ie is an independent community resource for visitors planning trips to Adare, County Limerick, in connection with the 2027 Ryder Cup.
This privacy policy explains what personal data caddi.ie collects, why it is collected, how it is used, and your rights in relation to it.
2. What Data We Collect
(a) Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — Website Analytics
When you visit caddi.ie, Google Analytics 4 collects anonymised usage data, including:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Session duration and bounce rate
- Referral source (how you arrived at the site)
- Device type, operating system, and browser
- Approximate geographic region (country/city level)
- Interactions with page elements
GA4 data is associated with a random analytics identifier, not your name or email address. IP addresses are anonymised by default in GA4.
GA4 fires only if you accept analytics cookies via the consent banner. If you decline, no GA4 data is collected.
(b) Contact Form Submissions
If you use the contact form on caddi.ie, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The content of your message
This data is used solely to respond to your query.
(c) Email Newsletter Sign-up
If you sign up for the caddi.ie email newsletter, we collect:
- Your email address only
We use this to send you updates about the site and content related to the 2027 Ryder Cup in Adare. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any newsletter email.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
- Payment data: caddi.ie does not currently process payments. When payment functionality is activated, it will be handled entirely by Stripe; caddi.ie will not store card numbers or banking details.
- Passwords: caddi.ie does not currently have user accounts.
- Sensitive personal data: We do not collect health data, political opinions, religious beliefs, biometric data, or other special categories of personal data under GDPR Article 9.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”): You can request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances
- Right to data portability: You can request your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to restriction: You can request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances
- Right to object: You can object to processing based on legitimate interests

Analytics cookies fire only with your consent. The cookie consent banner presented on your first visit allows you to accept or decline analytics cookies. You can change your preference at any time via the cookie settings link in the site footer.
caddi.ie does not currently use any functional, targeting, or social media cookies.

Note on Stripe: Stripe is listed here as a future processor. It will be activated when payment functionality goes live on caddi.ie. Until then, no payment data is processed.
9. International Data Transfers
Some of our third-party processors may transfer data outside the UK/EEA. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or the UK ICO).
10. Links to Third-Party Sites
caddi.ie contains links to third-party websites (accommodation, transport, restaurants, etc.). This privacy policy applies only to caddi.ie. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any linked third-party site.
11. Changes to This Policy
We will update this privacy policy when we introduce new data processing activities. The date of the most recent update is shown at the top of this page. Material changes will be notified via a prominent notice on caddi.ie.
